4 days · 3 nights From $850 per person sharing

Departing: Nairobi

Four days on the Sirimon route to Point Lenana (4,985 m) — giant groundsels, alpine tarns and a sunrise summit, with guides, porters, cooks and park fees in one quote.

Sample package — hotels, itinerary and prices to be confirmed with the operator.

Day by day

Day 1 Nairobi to Old Moses Camp

Morning pick-up in Nairobi, drive to the Sirimon gate (about 3.5 hours), park formalities, then a 3–4 hour walk through rainforest and bamboo to Old Moses Camp (3,300 m). Dinner and overnight in mountain huts.

Day 2 Old Moses to Shipton's Camp

A longer day — 6–7 hours across the moorland, following the Mackinder Valley past giant lobelias and groundsels to Shipton's Camp (4,200 m), beneath the peaks of Batian and Nelion.

Day 3 Summit day — Point Lenana

A pre-dawn start for the 3-hour climb to Point Lenana (4,985 m) for sunrise over the peaks and, on a clear day, Kilimanjaro on the horizon. Descend to Shipton's for breakfast, then continue down to Old Moses for the night.

Day 4 Descend & return to Nairobi

An easy 2–3 hour walk back to the Sirimon gate, then the drive home to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon.
